Full Potential Consulting was founded by Marcy Kaplan, a graduate of the University of Michigan (’89) and Northwestern University School of Law (’92). It is dedicated to providing advocacy and consulting services to families of students with disabilities in Massachusetts. Marcy completed the Federation for Children with Special Needs training course and internship and is currently a parent consultant, special education advocate and planner. A litigator before staying home to raise her 3 children, in 2009 Marcy became Vice-Chair and subsequently Chair of the Sharon Special Education Parents Advisory Council. In 2013, Marcy was elected to the Sharon School Committee.
While she prefers to work collaboratively with school districts, Marcy is a strong advocate for her families. Marcy will travel up to an hour from Sharon and is available to attend all varieties of school meetings including but not limited to 504 meetings, IEP meetings and mediations. Transition planning is a specialty and Marcy facilitates the transition process, which begins in the teenage years and continues until the student graduates or turns 22 years old.
